2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account & contact data — name, work email, company name, role, and similar details you give us when you create an account, request a walkthrough, or contact support.
- Billing data — your plan and billing contact. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Communications — messages, support requests, and feedback you send us.
Connected business data
When you authorize an integration, we access business data on a read-only basis to operate the Service, including: ecommerce orders and product catalog; subscription and cohort data; payment settlement records; bank account balances and transactions (via Plaid); and inventory and fulfilment data. This data is your company’s data; we process it on your behalf to produce your forecasts and recommendations.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — log data, IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and actions taken in the Service.

3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, secure, and maintain the Service.
- Generate demand projections, cash forecasts, and order recommendations from the data you connect.
- Provide onboarding, support, and business reviews.
- Process billing and administer your subscription.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your connected business data to train models for other customers.
4. Connected data sources
The Service connects to third-party platforms you authorize — such as your ecommerce store, subscription platform, payment processors, banking (via Plaid), and inventory or 3PL systems. We access these sources only to provide the Service and only with the scope you grant. Each provider’s handling of your data is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.
5. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases: performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service; your consent (where requested, e.g. certain cookies); and compliance with legal obligations.
6. Sharing & subprocessors
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers (subprocessors) who process data on our behalf under contract.
- Legal & safety — to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for the period required to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may request deletion of your data as described below; we will delete or de-identify it unless we are required to retain it.
8. Security
We protect information using encryption in transit and at rest, access controls on a least-privilege basis, and ongoing monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@cashlin.io.
9. Your privacy rights
EEA/UK residents may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of personal data, and may object to certain processing or withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) may request to know, delete, or correct personal information, and may opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and process data there. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Children
The Service is a business tool intended for use by organizations and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
